Looking to add a dash of excitement to your next gathering or special occasion? Planning a birthday bash, team-building, hen party or simply want to deepen your knowledge and refine your palate, our wine school is the go-to destination for all things wine. Embark on a journey where every bottle holds a story, and every pour is an invitation to explore the vast and captivating world of wine.

You choose the location: We are a mobile wine school based in the Cotswolds and come to you either at your home or rented venue. If the weather permits and space allows we can accommodate classes in outdoor spaces and gardens too.

Intimate Classes: Up to a maximum of 12 people/minimum of 6, lasting for up to 2.5 hours.

At Curious Wine School we strive to demystify the complexities of wine, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for all. We believe that learning about wine should be as entertaining as sipping it!

Classes for Every Occasion

We understand that every event is unique - whether you're a newcomer or a seasoned oenophile, there's always something interesting to discover in the world of wine, which is why we offer three classes tailored for you. Choose from:

Around the World - £40 per person:
Explore a diverse range of eight wines from different terroirs and climates. From the crisp and elegant whites of Germany to the bold and robust reds of Argentina, each sip tells a unique story of the land and the people who cultivate the grapes.

Taste the Unexpected - £45 per person:
Step out of your comfort zone and discover eight unusual wines that you wouldn't normally choose. Explore regional nuances and varietal expressions that excite and provoke your palate.

Pop the Corks - £50 per person:
Tasting a range of eight sparkling wines, from Crémant and Prosecco to Champagne and English sparkling, the world of fizz is so varied. Explore, taste, discover and find your favourite glass of bubbles.

Each of our classes consist of eight different wines and if preferred, you can taste the final two wines ‘blind’ (you know nothing about the wine before you taste it!). This gives you all the chance to put into practice some of your newfound tasting skills and guess the wines.

Perfect for Beginners: For those looking to develop their knowledge and confidence to navigate wine lists, choose bottles, and impress your friends.

Corporate Team-Building: Enhance teamwork and communication skills while having a blast wine tasting with your colleagues.

Hen and Stag Parties: Start your celebration with a splash by tasting wines under the guidance of our talented experts.

Private Events: Planning a special occasion? We can customise our classes to fit your event, ensuring it's a memorable experience for all.

What's included in my booking?

Expert Instructors: Our team of wine experts will dive deep into the concept of terroir, unraveling the influence of soil, climate, and geography on the character of each wine. Ever wondered how to properly swirl, sniff, and sip like a sommelier? Our courses teach you the art of tasting, helping you discern flavours, aromas, and textures with confidence.

Quality Wines: We're passionate about wines; we personally source and hand-pick wines taking into consideration the quality, accessibility and availability of our selections. This allows for a more personalised, diverse, and engaging learning experience, ultimately ensuring that you can easily access wines tasted.

Feeling peckish?

Why not treat yourselves to theatrical mixed sharing platters of charcuterie, cheese and nibbles £10.00 per person (minimum order 6 people/£60)

How far does Curious Wine School Travel?

Classes are available within a 15 mile radius of Cirencester, also covering the Cotswold Waterpark/Cotswold Lakes and available 7 days a week.
We can travel to your venue outside of this area - please enquire as additional travel costs throughout the Cotswolds may apply.

Need a venue for Curious Wine School?

We can offer a perfect venue based in Somerford Keynes with free parking and camping facilities too. Venue hire is £75.00 per session (seasonal camping available at additional costs).

Alternatively we can access a spacious, private and versatile converted barn in South Cerney. With natural light flooding the room, 150 square metres of space, a private carpark, outside space, a bar and stunning views of the surrounding countryside, it is an unforgettable venue. Venue hire is £150 per session.
